Denmark and Norway took Nordic champions titles in Olympic-Cross
Halden Cykleklub and Idd Sportsklubb organized Karl XII MTB race 21th-22th September 2024. The race took place at Nyborg, on the outskirts of Halden - Norway. The course was a great mix of single tracks, elements, rock gardens and smaller parts with gravel. The course looked relatively flat, but puts great demands on the rider – it was harder than it seemed, with a constant changing terrain, demanding hard fighting on the rider's part.
On Saturday 21st the Nordic Championship XCO took place, at the same time as the UCI Cat 1 XCO/Norgescup race on the «red track». The participants were from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Latvia and Estonia. 123 riders took part of the Championships.
Nordic Championship XCO applied to M/W Junior, M/W Senior and M/W 19 years and older.
In Women Elite class Caroline Bohe from Denmark took the gold, Lisa Kristine Jorde (NOR) silver and Hedda Brenning Bjørklund (NOR) bronze.
In Men Elite Norway took triple win. Champion's title went to Mats Tubaas Glende, second place to Knut Røhme and third to Ole Sigurd Rekdahl.
